I actually like Rhode Lip Balms…
One of the brands that I, and a lot of people like me, love to hate on is Rhode.
We all feel like although the overall aesthetic of the brand is super cute, there is no way the products can actually be as good as they look… right?!
Wrong.
I really hope I don’t sound like a total buzzkill when I confess this, but Rhode has always been one of those brands that felt more “cute to own” than actually effective. Like yes, it’s giving wellness baddie. It’s giving clean girl vanity. It’s giving aesthetic bathroom shelf. But does it actually do anything?
If I’m being honest, I definitely bought it for the aesthetics at first.
However… I totally take that back.
I have genuinely grown to love this lip balm. All four of the “flavors” I tried smell amazing and actually feel nourishing on the lips. It’s glossy but not sticky, hydrating but not heavy, and I find myself reaching for it more than I expected to.
Now, I cannot say if the peptide in the name is actually doing anything because honestly, I am not a scientist and have not done a full deep dive into what the product claims to do. But what I can say is that my lips feel moisturized, smooth, and not crusty by midday, which is really all I’m asking for.
If you’re in the market for a super cute yet genuinely moisturizing lip balm, I highly recommend checking these out.
Now… $20 a pop does get a little pricey. I have yet to run out of any of mine, and I’ve had them for a few months now, so I will say the $20 seems to go a long way. I’m still testing how far that $20 really stretches, but so far, I’m not mad at it. I’ll keep you updated.
I haven’t checked out any of the other Rhode products yet, but I have been eyeing their blushes. If you’ve tried them, please leave a comment down below. Let’s start the convo on what I should get next… and what we should all avoid!
xoxo
